We offer FREE admission for our visitors on the 20th of August! Try your hand at driving a locomitive, take a ride on the garden railway or take a peek inside the locomotives of past centuries.

Special Attraction

See the legendary Golden Train on Track 1 of the B turntable – originally built in 1938 to carry the Holy Right Hand relic of King Saint Stephen across the country. Short films about its history will be shown in the Orient Hall.

Free Museum Bus

Thanks to the team of BPO-569, two nostalgic Ikarus buses (including a freshly restored, rare Hajdú Volán-liveried BB-CC 075) will run from Népliget and Újpalota to the Museum. Travel is free of charge, donation boxes and unique souvenir tickets are available on board.
